Poems with rhymes of lard

Tears, O my friends, for each other they marred
Fighting with pistol and powder and-lard!

Was as a millstone hard;
His eye was cold and cruel,
His face was frozen lard.

For dinner we had goanna hash, we thought it mighty hard;
They wouldn't give us butter, so we forced down bread and lard.

And selling of ribbons, and scenting of lard:
It gives you a house to get in from the showers,
And food when your appetite jockeys you hard.

Some of them were very hard
And invigilators are made of lard

It's outside may look and feel hard
But the insides are soft.
