O Thou! whose power o'er moving worlds presides,
Whose voice created, and whose wisdom guides,

Art from that fund each just supply provides,
Works without show, and without pomp presides.

--BUT if the foe no more without presides,
There is an inner chamber where it hides ;

It cannot be--unerring Wisdom guides
With eye propitious, and o'er all presides.

Whose tender love for all provides,
Whose power over all presides;

To sacred PAUL a younger Figure guides,
With seeming Warmth, which still in Youth presides;

When Cynthia, Regent of the Tides,
Pale in meridian Pride presides;

The day, those hours, I mean, when light presides,
And Business in a cart with Prudence rides;

I will tell you where my soul resides
but promise not to tell
Treasure now your silence presides
