To the dark season's frost and rime
This painted memory of spring,
This dream of summertime.

The poets' age no longer sets their rhyme,
Now, in the sweep of country plots and roads,
Lermontov is rhymed with summertime,

As joyous as the gentle chime
Of bellbirds in the Summertime
